Mainstay Craft Beers
This low hopped, sessionable Vienna inspired lager is the perfect light drinker for a sunny day on the patio or an afternoon mowing the lawn. With a hint of sweetness from the malt, this crisp beer is sure to leave you longing for more.
1888 Blonde Ale
A tribute to the early settlers who founded Berthoud, 1888 is our easy-drinking Blonde Ale for those seeking a beer light in flavor or for quenching a hard days work. A light malt flavor is met with a hint of honey. Lightly hopped with Magnum and Saphir hops for a touch of fruitiness and a crisp clean finish.
Our Scottish has been a taproom favorite since the beginning of Berthoud Brewing’s history. It is malty with caramel sweetness and just a hint of smoke. The light body mysteriously creates a bold taste. Listen to the whisper that calls you back for another pint… or two… or three….
This traditional Dunkel pairs the dark chocolate-malty sweetness of a stout or a porter with the smooth drinkability of a lager. This beer is undeniably and surprisingly crushable, so take a few on the trail with you.
Little Thompson IPA
Malt plays a secondary role as cascade and mosaic hops deliver a refreshing citrus fruit hit to the senses. Moderate in bitterness and ABV, “LT” can be enjoyed one after another.
This beer has Berthoud altitude! Our double IPA sports huge notes of sweet orange and apricot compliments of a heap of Centennial hops. A generous grain bill provides a solid malt backbone for balance. Incredibly approachable for a DIPA
“Great Coffee. Greater Good” is what this coffee Scottish is all about. In partnership with Top of the Lake Coffee Roasters in Berthoud, the coffee used in our brewing supports a single origin farm in Guatemala and other small & ethical cooperatives around the world. You can feel good drinking this one!
8th Street Amber
Named for our first location in Berthoud- 450 8th Street, this amber is characterized by medium to high malty flavor of fruit and floral.
Limited Craft Beers
An American wheat tart, this is not a sour. The only reason this makes you pucker and is a nice shade of pink, is the 2, 500 pounds of cherries we use in our brewing. Taste the fruit!
Inspired by Berthoud’s blues genre of music & good beer, our kettle sour beer has a “try me on” attitude & dancing with blueberries. Pucker up!
This lite guy was made to lighten your load. Derived from our lowrider lager, this ale was made for your enjoyment.
We took our lowrider lite and added hand zested limes and Celtic sea salt. If you can’t get to the beach, come grab one of these refreshers.
Green Chile Blonde
Light, crisp, clean and a little spicy! Lightly hopped with Magnum and Saphir hops for a touch of fruitiness, this beer is finessed with fire roasted hatch green chiles.
This beer is very round and mellow-tasting with very little bitterness. Fruit forward traditional wheat. Get your proteins and cheers to the Sommers.
Sun of Sam
All citra hops for a citrus flavor and aroma, and finished with orange zest. The fact that our brewer’s name is Sam has nothing to do with it. Wink, wink.
Chocolate Cherry Bomb:
Our American wheat tart, the Cherry Bomb was brewed with a darker, more aromatic malt that creates the flavor of chocolate. The chocolate color, with nearly one ton of cherries creates the perfect dissonance.
We’re not not saying our Centennial hop ratio is high in this one, but we are saying that the maltier, sweet beer with grapefruit is the perfect summer beer for those who dare approach the double IPA. If you like this one, try our 5030.
